While Ivy Ridge claims to be "independently owned and operated," WWASPS founder Robert Lichfield is part-owner of the facility. Ivy Ridge Director Jason Finlinson is Lichfield's brother-in-law. New York authorities declared Ivy Ridge one of the largest cases of education fraud in state history. The "school" was fined $250,000, ordered to repay nearly $2 Million in "tuition" payments, and stop issuing its worthless diplomas.

Many of the students who attended this school were transferred from Morava Academy, a WWASPS/Teen Help facility located in the Czech Republic.

2004: Mexican officials raided Casa by the Sea and found evidence of abuse. The facility was ordered to close and send all of the children back to the United States. The administrators of Casa by the Sea are currently directing other WWASPS facilities. Many students who were attending Casa at the time it was raided were shuttled off to other WWASP facilities. This facility is now accepting students once again, this time operating under the name "Seaside Academy".

2004: Darrington Academy opened in what used to be the Fannin Inn Motel. Darrington Academy, Inc. was incorporated by Richard Darrington, who also worked at Casa by the Sea, but it appears that Dace Goulding holds the deed for the land and building. Recent information indicates that Darrington Academy is having difficulties finding staff members who meet the minimum requirement of having a high school diploma.

WWASP's newest creation. Apparently Tranquility Bay will transfer the majority of it's prisoners to this facility following it's recent notice of closure. Gulf Coast Academy seems to be a transfer point for other schools, namely Pillars of Hope in Costa Rica.

First called Bell Academy and located in California, it was moved to Nevada and renamed Horizon Academy becuase authorities in California refused to allow the school in that state. Administrator Brian Viafanua was the director of Paradise Cove when that facility closed following numerous allegations of child abuse, neglect, and holding legal adults against their will. Midwest is one of the newer schools. Director Ben Trane personally asked me to remove his school from the website claiming they were no longer involved with WWASP. They're still on the website... ;P

The American couple Glenda and Steven Roach, arrested in 1998 in the Czech Republic on charges of illegal imprisonment and torture of the 57 teenagers found at Morava Academy, have a past marred by similar offenses. The couple has managed other illicit prison-like facilities for troubled American teens and been arrested in other foreign countries.

Paradise Cove Academy closed following allegations of abuse, neglect, and the holding of legal adults against their will. WWASP still claims to have nothing to do with Paradise Cove, although the facility was reportedly financed by Robert Lichfield, founder of WWASP, and marketed on Teen Help/WWASP web sites.

Jared Copeland who it seems is the new assistant director of Sky View was a Family Representative at Spring Creek Lodge. How a family rep is qualified to manage a school we'll never know. Orval Hagerman who is the new director of was also a low ranking staff member at SCL. All he did was help his son Scott Hagerman run the technology department and assist with family photos.

Tranquility Bay opened in 1997 and is probably one of the most notorious WWASP facilities. The Director of Tranquility Bay is Jay Kay. He is the son of WWASPS President, Ken Kay.
After dropping out of college, Jay Kay managed a gas station mini-mart in San Diego, CA. Jay Kay was declared bankrupt in 1994, just 2 years prior to the purchase of Tranquility Bay.
