Darrington Academy

Location: Blue Ridge, Georgia

Administrators: Dusky Goulding, Richard Darrington, Dace Goulding

Noteworthy:

Director Dusky Goulding is only 23 years old.

His brother Dace Goulding also has some authority over the facility.

Dace Goulding was previously the director of Casa by the Sea and the "education coordinator" at Paradise Cove.

Dace Goulding is currently the President of the Ellijay, Georgia Mormon Church.

Darrington Academy recently accepted at least 19 children from Eagle Point Christian Academy, a WWASPS facility in Mississippi.

Eagle Point was damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Darrington Academy is placed on 1580 Appalachian Hwy, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513. It is the former Fannin Inn Motel.

International Survivor Action Committee has investigated this facility very meticulous and it seems that the official marketing material has been through a process of photomontage because the grassy areas does not exist [1]. Also the satellite image on the right does not display these areas [2].

During 2006 there were rumors about illegal workers present on the facility. Darrington did open 2004. It was the same year that Casa by the Sea was closed by the Mexican authorities due to suspicion of child abuse, so it could have been conceivable that some of the workers had transferred themselves to Darrington [3].

The contract for the facility is remarkably similar to those of other WWASPS programs, and even has a "zero tolerance" clause stating that problem children will be sent to Tranquility Bay, a WWASPS facility in Jamaica.

Lawyers for Darrington Academy also deny that Dace Goulding owns the facility.

They say Richard Darrington is the owner.

But this deed for Darrington Academy shows the name "Goulding" - NOT Darrington.

Darrington Academy, Inc. was incorporated by Richard Darrington, who also worked at Casa by the Sea, but it appears that Dace Goulding holds the deed for the land and building.

Recent information indicates that Darrington Academy is having difficulties finding staff members who meet the minimum requirement of having a high school diploma.
